SIBC - Student International Business Council:
The Student International Business Council (SIBC) at the University of San Diego is a student-led organization that fosters professional development and global business acumen through hands-on consulting projects and leadership opportunities. SIBC connects students with real-world business challenges, allowing them to collaborate with industry professionals, engage in meaningful problem-solving, and gain valuable experience in international business.
As the Chief Planning Coordinator for SIBC, I oversee the organization and execution of events, projects, and strategic initiatives. My role involves coordinating project teams, ensuring smooth communication between students and faculty, and managing the logistics of council activities to enhance the overall experience for our members. Through this position, I work to support our mission of developing globally-minded leaders who are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in today’s business world.
IBP - International Buddy Program:
The International Buddy Program (IBP) at the University of San Diego is dedicated to fostering cultural exchange and creating a welcoming environment for international students. Through a range of social events, activities, and peer-to-peer mentoring, IBP helps international students adjust to life at USD, build meaningful connections, and experience the diversity of the campus community. The program pairs international students with domestic students to facilitate their transition and provide a strong support network during their time at the university.
As the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for IBP, I lead the efforts to promote our events and initiatives, ensuring that we effectively communicate our mission and engage both international and domestic students. My role involves managing our social media presence, designing marketing campaigns, and creating content that highlights the importance of cross-cultural connections. I work closely with the IBP team to enhance the visibility of the program and to make sure all students feel supported and connected throughout their time at USD.
